Foot Surgery

I had my old-lady foot surgery this past Thursday.

Pain sucks.

Drugs rock.

  1. So sorry about your foot surgery! And thanks for including your blog's address in your Christmas letter. I look forward to reading your posts! I inherited the family bunions (why couldn't they have been diamonds?) and had my first bunionectomy (love that word) at age 31. I just had the second one last spring, and this time the doctor was WAY more conservative -- no weight-bearing for five weeks. In case you are also non-weight-bearing right now, I highly recommend the knee scooter from GoodbyeCrutches.com. It's really useful -- and has a huge cool factor. All the kids AND adults at church wanted to try it out. You can rent it by the week or month. Happy healing!

  2. Thanks for the tip! Somehow "knee scooter" and "huge cool factor" don't seem natural partners, but hey, I put potato salad in my gumbo, so I'm ready for weird combos.
