Dough Boys

I miss the yeasty smell of babies. Snuggled up close, it was as if I were cuddling a freshly baked bread loaf.

Teenaged boys are not warm and doughy. More like the remains of a snow crab dinner that someone forgot to throw away. Rank-smelling. Bits of shell, with jagged edges.

I miss the babies.

  1. I am 56 - if I stopped wearing leggings I would have to buy a new wardrobe. Lov'em. On snowy days I even wear them to work with boots and long sweaters. In the summer I wear them with a t-shirt to walk the dog. It is comforting to have them hugging your legs - I like to think they help prevent vericose veins. In fact I think leggings are "green" clothing - very minimal, not a lot of fabric, or energy used to make them - unlike tailored pants.
